Formatting of Import Files

To successfully import feed data, the FIRST ROW of your CSV file should contain column headers across the page. Each subsequent row will be imported as one item for your feed. If working in Excel, save the completed file as file type CSV.  See Import Templates for samples.

The Import Process

1. Locate, on your computer or network, the CSV file containing your data to be imported using the BROWSE button.

2. Once the file has been located, click PREVIEW data to view the contents of the file.

3. If the first row of the data contains the column header, tick "first row contains column headers".

4. From the DATA SOURCE FIELDS list box, click on a field name to select it. Click on the equivalent field in the FEED FIELDS list box. Press the orange "LINK" button to map the data source field to the feed field. The purpose of this step is to tell the import process which column of data in the CSV file is to be imported into which feed item field.

5. Once all necessary fields have been mapped, click IMPORT DATA.
